AI boom and stock market growth with a six-month investment opportunity theme.

Best Six Months Strategy: How Stocks, Options and the AI Supply Chain Could Create a Generational Opportunity

The Best Six Months + The AI Boom: A Generational Opportunity for Stock & Options Investors?

Everybody has heard:

“Sell in May and go away.”

But most investors never learn the other—and potentially more important—half of the story.

Historically, November through April has been the strongest six-month stretch of the year for stocks.

The Stock Trader’s Almanac has tracked this phenomenon for decades through its Best Six Months Switching Strategy.

Now here’s what makes the upcoming period especially interesting:

We aren’t entering another ordinary market cycle.

We’re entering it in the middle of what could become one of the largest technological investment cycles of our lifetime:

The AI buildout.

And if the historical Best Six Months seasonal tendency overlaps with continued AI earnings growth and capital spending, investors may have an opportunity to participate in the trend through both stocks AND options.

That combination could make the opportunity considerably more powerful.

But—as always—

more potential reward means more potential risk.

So we need a system.

Why Stocks AND Options Matter

Suppose you identify a company you believe can benefit from the AI boom.

The traditional approach is simple:

Buy the stock.

Nothing wrong with that.

If you buy 100 shares at $100 and the stock rises to $110, you’ve made:

$1,000.

A respectable 10% return.

But options can allow an investor to structure that same market opinion differently.

Instead of needing the stock to double—or even move 20% or 30%—a properly selected options position can potentially generate a much larger percentage return from a relatively small move in the underlying stock.

And that is one of the foundations of Mattress Money:

Make big profits from small moves.

Not because options are magic.

Because options allow us to engineer the trade.

We can choose:

  • Strike price

  • Expiration

  • Defined risk

  • Maximum potential profit

  • Break-even

  • Probability

  • Capital required

That gives investors more ways to monetize a trend than simply:

Buy stock → hope it goes up.

Stocks Build Wealth. Options Can Accelerate the Strategy.

This is where I think a lot of investors get confused.

I’m not stocks versus options.

I want both.

Stocks can provide long-term participation in outstanding businesses.

Options can potentially create additional income, leverage, protection and capital efficiency around those investments.

Depending on the setup, an investor might use:

LEAPS to gain longer-term exposure with less capital than buying 100 shares.

Bull call spreads to pursue a defined-risk directional move.

Cash-secured puts to potentially get paid while waiting to purchase shares at a lower price.

Covered calls to generate premium against stocks already owned.

Protective puts to help defend a portfolio during periods of uncertainty.

That’s why our philosophy is:

More Money. More Options.

Because owning the right stocks is one skill.

Knowing how to monetize those stocks in multiple ways is another.

Now Add the AI Supply Chain

This is where the story gets REALLY interesting.

Most people hear artificial intelligence and immediately think:

Nvidia.

And yes—Nvidia sits in an extraordinary position.

But AI is much bigger than GPUs.

Think about what has to happen before somebody can type a prompt into ChatGPT.

You need chips.

Those chips need memory.

The chips need networking.

Those components go into servers.

Those servers go into data centers.

Those data centers require electricity.

That power has to be generated, transmitted and cooled.

Then software has to run on top of all that infrastructure.

Cybersecurity has to protect it.

Cloud providers have to distribute it.

Businesses have to implement it.

That means the AI economy creates an enormous supply chain.

Chips → Memory → Networking → Servers → Data Centers → Power → Cooling → Cloud → Software → Cybersecurity

That’s not one trade.

That’s an ecosystem.

And potentially an investing opportunity that lasts for years.

Why I Believe the AI Supply Chain Could Be Generational

Think about previous technological revolutions.

The automobile didn’t only create wealth for Ford.

It created opportunities in:

Steel.

Rubber.

Oil.

Road construction.

Insurance.

Finance.

Dealerships.

Hotels.

Restaurants.

Suburbs.

The internet didn’t only create Cisco.

It eventually gave us:

Amazon.

Google.

Meta.

Netflix.

Salesforce.

Cloud computing.

Cybersecurity.

Digital advertising.

E-commerce.

Artificial intelligence could have the same type of downstream economic effect.

Maybe bigger.

And that’s why I don’t want Mattress Money investors asking:

“What’s the next Nvidia?”

That question is too small.

I want us asking:

“Who gets paid every time AI gets bigger?”

Now we’re thinking differently.

Don't Just Look for the Gold Miner. Look for the Picks and Shovels.

During a gold rush, everybody wants to find gold.

But fortunes can also be made selling equipment to the miners.

AI has plenty of picks and shovels.

Semiconductors.

HBM memory.

DRAM.

Networking equipment.

Optical components.

Storage.

Servers.

Transformers.

Cooling systems.

Natural gas.

Nuclear power.

Power generation.

Electrical infrastructure.

Data-center construction.

And some of those businesses may never develop a famous consumer AI product.

They don't have to.

They can make money simply because everybody else needs their stuff to build AI.

That is the supply-chain opportunity.

And This Is Why We Don't Chase Stocks

Whenever a sector gets hot, investors start acting like there are only three stocks available on Earth.

😂

No sir.

When it comes to stocks, we don't chase 'em—we replace 'em.

If Nvidia runs too far too fast?

Study memory.

Memory runs?

Study networking.

Networking runs?

Study power.

Power runs?

Study cooling.

Cooling runs?

Study software.

We follow the capital through the ecosystem.

There will always be another company.

Another setup.

Another entry.

Another opportunity.

We don't fall in love with tickers.

Date stocks. Don't marry them.

And when one opportunity gets overpriced?

Replace it.

This Is Where The Best Six Months Gets Interesting

Now put all of this together.

Historically stronger market seasonality.

A massive AI capital-expenditure cycle.

Rising demand for computing capacity.

Growing demand for memory.

Expanding data-center infrastructure.

Growing electricity requirements.

Increasing enterprise AI adoption.

Then add the ability to participate through:

Stocks + ETFs + Options.

Now we're no longer talking about finding one winning stock.

We're talking about constructing an AI wealth strategy.

The Mattress Money Approach

But we still don't throw money at AI because it's fashionable.

Everything goes through our system.

Direction

Where is the stock, industry and overall market headed?

Destination

Where could the stock reasonably trade based on the chart, fundamentals and catalysts?

DTE

How much time does the thesis need?

Then we look at:

Probability.

Volatility.

Support.

Resistance.

Earnings.

Liquidity.

Risk.

Position size.

Potential reward.

That's how we separate:

An exciting story

from

an executable trade.

Imagine Owning the Trend AND Monetizing It

This is where options can potentially make this cycle particularly interesting.

Imagine identifying an AI infrastructure stock that you want to own for five years.

You can own the shares.

But potentially, depending on your objectives and risk tolerance, you might also:

Sell puts when you're willing to acquire additional shares lower.

Sell covered calls during certain conditions.

Use protective puts when downside risk increases.

Use LEAPS to obtain longer-duration exposure.

Use defined-risk spreads when you expect a particular price move.

Suddenly one great company can potentially create multiple ways to make money.

That's Mattress Money.

The stock is the asset.

Options become tools we can use around the asset.

But Don't Confuse Leverage With Free Money

This part matters.

Options can magnify gains.

They can also magnify mistakes.

If you're wrong about:

Direction, Destination or DTE

the trade can lose money even when you were eventually right about the company.

You can be right about Nvidia over five years…

…and dead wrong about a 14-day call option.

😂

That's why Mattress Money isn't:

“AI is going up. Buy calls!”

Absolutely not.

We're teaching people to match:

the strategy to the thesis.

Coach Micah's Take

I believe we're watching something much bigger than an AI stock boom.

We're watching the construction of an AI economy.

And economies need infrastructure.

Somebody has to manufacture the chips.

Somebody has to make the memory.

Somebody has to connect the servers.

Somebody has to build the data centers.

Somebody has to provide the power.

Somebody has to cool them.

Somebody has to secure them.

Somebody has to create the software.

Somebody has to finance all of it.

And somewhere inside that chain could be some of the great investment opportunities of the next decade.

That's why I'm not trying to predict one winner.

I'm following the money.

Eyes on the prize. Ears to the streets. Antennas up.

And remember:

When it comes to stocks, we don't chase 'em—we replace 'em.

The Best Six Months may provide the seasonal setup.

The AI economy may provide the secular trend.

Stocks give us ownership.

Options give us flexibility and leverage.

And our system tells us when the opportunity is actually worth taking.

That's Mattress Money.

More Money. More Options.
